What's Buzz-worthy: There's a lot to like with this one and some little things here make this a better rip than normal Chromed stuff in a blaster. One of them? Six cards in a pack ... even though you get fewer packs that's better than the feel of only four. You get an insert or parallel in every pack based on this approach and then a blaster has a four-card bonus pack of X-Fractors. What's the drawback to all of it that got me with this box? It's a huge 400-card set so finding those key rookies and stars isn't easy ... and this box showed it. There are nearly 100 RCs to be had here and I landed four that aren't that big of a deal on cardboard. My base cards weren't much better, either, with Harper and a couple Hall of Famers not that flashy. Even the photographs in this box weren't as unusual as you would expect a Stadium Club set to have, either. My lone insert highlight if you ask me -- and it's pretty rough on that end this time, too -- was the Gold Refractor, which is one in 27 packs (seven boxes) but not a great name to find. It happens. That's actually a tougher pull than an autograph in this format -- ink is one in 19 -- but overall this box had a decent amount of variety but it didn't include enough star power. Hobby boxes include an autograph and more every time so if you're sold go that direction for sure -- at least if ink is a mandatory thing for you. If you want to build a set, a combination of a hobby box and some blasters will get it done. This format does have long-odds potential with Superfractors in every set to be found here ... so with some luck you could have a blast. All in all, I like the release but this box wasn't a good impression. We'll see how others treat me ... if I can find them.
