What's Buzz-worthy: This box seemed a little dry on the dramatic photo front by this brand's standards, and it was light on the star power here and there in the base set, but two cards got this box to the A and then the A+ level -- a Luis Robert Rookie Card and then a rare Honus Wagner parallel that's one in 19 boxes (or just two per blaster case). The rest is gravy after that. The Widevision box-topper packs in blasters are a bonus here -- something needed in every release if you ask me -- and that set should be a fun one to amass. It's perhaps my favorite inclusion this year. The parallels dropped pretty much the same as last year with an insert in every pack, while the insert lineup is similar to past years but I'd suggest more experimenting there as this one is known for the base set's inclusions. I think more creativity might make for even better inserts here vs. traditional approaches. The card backs give us a crisp presentation of basic prior-year stats or career, too, and that's something you can't say in a ton of non-flagship releases. All in all this one remains a strong collector brand and I'll offer more thoughts when I rip more -- I already have a second blaster ready and will likely also do hobby at some point soon.
