What's Buzz-worthy: This one arrived with a lot of chatter last year but I never bit -- but then this year's Black November/Friday sales arrived and I grabbed one as I like the rookie crop, the parallel potential and some of the extras. My first pack? It included a Bo Bichette appearance -- the only RC I grabbed as a single before breaking this -- and then I added another. Had I not found a lot of cards with lifted edges and corners (and a crease in my only Vladdy) I might have given this box an A- just based on landing the top rookies and Bichette twice. I got more UK Icons cards than the posted odds indicated but my parallels (I needed more) aligned with the odds but needed more star power. The Icons set has some good names in it but I didn't land a couple of the modern highlights that might be more popular. (Stonehenge was a funny find, though.) The RCs and possible RC parallels are, to me, the biggest realistic draw here but there also are autographs at long odds (one in 2,738 packs ... one in 115 boxes) with top names possible like Acuña, Trout, Harper. Soot, Judge and Vladdy. The inserts also have parallels at long odds ... but they are in there. When you find the right names on parallels, they can pay for a good chunk of things here. If you're a collector wanting to build a set, this one isn't a bad rip and it's a bit cheaper than it had been in the last year. It's worth the look -- or worth picking off singles you might want. It's simple and that's not a bad thing.
