What's Buzz-worthy: This one was admittedly a throw-in pack to get me some free shipping in a recent order but it paid off well with a Hall of Famer insert card that's one in 493 packs and then a photo variation that's one in 14. The mix of base cards and Rookie Cards was perhaps the norm here -- though I think the RCs could still be better in other packs -- but the inserts here deliver on a relatively consistent basis. (The box image is a Walmart version, which would have two Blue inserts atop what's found here.) Since I didn't rip a ton of this release last year (by the time it arrived I was ready for 2020 to be over) this wasn't bad. I'm sure the Mays pays for the box in the short-term and a card this rare in a flagship set has long-term legs, too. There's a ton of potential in this one between the parallel potential for RCs and big names alone ... that could make for some really good packs/boxes in all formats even if it wasn't your standard kind of year for Topps Update.
