What's Buzz-worthy: These boxes are small but potentially powerful and that means that they also aren't all that expensive, either, and that's one thing that got me to bite this weekend after I completed a marathon of the three newest Star Wars films. That got me wondering about ink for Daisy Ridley and Carrie Fisher out there in packs -- I've never landed either and figured I'd check out this newest release. I ended up with a Leia autograph -- just not Fisher -- and with an extra hit that is not only a gem as they are one in eight boxes (two per case) but also a super-detailed sketch that seems strong enough that it could have been an artist-return piece and shows a popular character in the newest Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. Based on what's out there, the sketch card alone pays for the box and maybe two or three more as it's a solid piece. The lineup here is small -- so is the base set -- but a release focusing on the female stars of the legendary franchise has good potential if you land key autos that often sell well. The depth of the checklist also means we get base card appearances from a few actresses who might not make the cut in standard sets. You can find base cards from obvious stars like Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridey and Natalie Portman here but also Keira Knightley and Rose Byrne for example who have gone on to notable roles elsewhere. I didn't examine how deep the checklist was for stars from the animated series out there, but this box was heavy on base cards from that side of things ... that's about my only worry for this one. I've never been big on the stuff that's not the films here -- the cartoons are just not my thing -- but you can find a little bit of everything here ... and that's part of the appeal.
