What's Buzz-worthy: I'm sold enough on this one that I ripped a case already -- see the first half here and the rest later this month when it's a Buzz 8 in 8 breaks marathon day. (Note to self: It's February ... get prepping.) Even with that, I grabbed two more boxes of this one on the cheaper side of things and was rewarded with a pair of parallel cards of top names. The mat Relic is one in 24 boxes with an auto that looks better than some -- there were some pen struggles with those cards -- but they were signed directly on the cards as some cards out there show ink when signers ran into/onto the frame. Meanwhile, the Ladder Relic -- this set is the first time that Topps has done those for the U.S. market (and likely for any releases) -- is one in 59 boxes, so I did pretty well here for just two boxes. Both aren't the priciest of signers -- they sign plenty -- but at least I didn't get King Corbin'd or one of the names who signs an initial-graph. ... As I noted last time, all cases I have watched have coughed up eight or nine parallels out of 20 boxes so some of these odds are how the various sets' sizes work out within the overall mix of cards. The checklist is a relatively limited one -- around 90 different cards -- so even with parallels you will see a good number of names in a 20-box case. ... Is this a strong box-flipper or rip-and-flip product? I don't think so -- not without some safety in volume if ripping. I think it is perhaps a good group-break/draft type of release if the box price is reasonable. (A lot of WWE signers' autos just aren't pricey so there can be risk.) While that may sound critical, I'm coming at this one as a collector -- and there's a lot to collect here. It's a release I'll be grabbing stuff from for a long time.
