What's Buzz-worthy: Wanna hear something crazy? I already own that Gold auto of Garza (one in 53 packs) and my serial-numbers are even back to back despite my other one coming from a sealed case I bought months ago. Not sure the odds on pulling that twice and then somehow getting consecutive numbers ... but it can't be easy. (I just wish it was one of the key names I collect here.) A number of stars in this one have ink here and more and that's one reason why I can't stop opening these ... it might be one of my favorite sets of the last decade -- at least everything but the base cards. (The highlights approach just doesn't work well, especially without any of the women's action -- that's all in the women's set separate from this -- but since it's a smaller box thanks to COVID it's still an enjoyable break. Two packs per box, one auto per.) That photo on the Gargano card makes that one a near-perfect card -- in fact I think it is and I may track down some parallels of that one ... or slab this one. ... I've busted a case of this one and then probably a couple more cases loose and I'll stick with it as these boxes deliver two autos every time and go for a lot less than other stuff. The only drawback here is the stock -- it can be damage prone often on the ink -- and more and more autographs are arriving for the key names here so those prices have dropped at times. Box Grade: A- (good ink makes up for leaner findings among Roster "rookie" cards)
Fun Grade: B+ (no serial-numbered parallels this time, which was odd)
