What's Buzz-worthy: I had planned on posting this one this morning in advance of Smackdown tonight, but instead we got the first look at Panini America's new edition for this line of sets for this WWE developmental brand ... I'll still go with it for a double-dose of the ring. These sets have typically been the home of new stars' first cards (that won't be the case in 2022 as they were included in Prizm and other releases) but I'll get to that when I open some of that later this year. For this one? Well, it's a more-condensed release with an auto in every pack thanks to COVID delays and, honestly, I prefer this approach over 24 packs. This one has a handful of notable first-timers in it and that's why I'm ripping with two on-card autos nearly every time (unless you land an auto-Relic) and there are a good number of parallels for both ink and the base set that typically drop in every box but I have seen some without them. This release might be one of my favorite sets of the last decade -- at least everything but the base cards. (The highlights approach just doesn't work well, especially without any of the women's action where one might argue is NXT's strength at that time.) ... I've busted a case of this one and then probably a couple more cases loose and I'll stick with it as these boxes deliver two autos every time and go for a lot less than other stuff until they're gone. The only drawback here is the stock -- it can be damage prone often on the ink -- and more and more autographs are arriving for the key names here so those prices have dropped at times.
