WrestleMania 35 Ring Mat Relic (1) – Triple H vs. Batista

What's Buzz-worthy: This is the second of these UK tins I bought (out of four) that arrived with a Relic, so I figured I'd drop it here for some Monday afternoon, pre-Raw stuff for wrestling fans to chew on. It's a quality release but with a failed packaging format. Check out my first break for more details as what's below is a small snippet from that (you won't see the other two tins since the packaging made these more frustrating than fun). ... This is a Topps UK on-demand style release (the tin format at least) presenting a jumbo pack of gaming cards made only for the European markets that also include a bonus pack and a one-in-four shot at a memorabilia card. The cost? A mere £10, which was just over $13 at the time. ... Just 312 tins of this one were sold via Topps' UK site. ... The overall feel of the inclusions? An A+ thanks to the striking set and the Relic. The F-caliber bummer here? The packaging in tandem with the thin stock and black edges on the fronts and backs. The jumbo pack bounces around the tin and nearly all of the cards have corner issues or spots on edges -- a big bummer -- and some are really, really bad. What's the easy fix for Topps? Cut the cards with rounded corners -- they are gaming -- or pad the tins or use a blob of adhesive goo in the bottom and lay the pack on it. Why do I rip here? An early cardboard look at a few newcomers -- Shotzi Blackheart and the Huskus The Pig Boy puppet in this tin for example -- don't yet have any U.S. Topps cards and debuts can often happen in the UK set first for some reason. I'm a big fan of the feel for these cards and the high-energy design that is, yes, gaming but they are visually striking.
