What's Buzz-worthy: This was a funky break with a couple of packs coming up short on the basic number of cards that should have been in the pack ... and then it had six in one pack and five in another ... coming out at one more than it was supposed to and short of the perhaps-typical number that this one's football counterpart included. (Typically 32 cards as the Chromes drop in as extras vs. the stated 28.) Beyond that oddness, this one's Green Lava card at one in 159 packs (23 boxes) was a decent find and then a couple of Chet Holmgren appearances helped it a tad in the here and now. The player crop? It's some recently drafted players and then players who are NIL guys meaning they have time before their number is called and this one's potential for yielding good cards is perhaps longer here than it could be for a typical draft picks set that loses some of its luster once the first NBA sets drop with pro-uni RCs. The drawback here is that it doesn't carry team names or logos -- Topps will get those back in the future -- but one thing that helps this one is that there's Chrome. I won't be dabbling on the hobby side for this one but I think it's worth the look. Why not? I'm not much of an NBA collector -- might not even be much of a dabbler these days unless something if affordable -- so I'm not scouting the player crop all that hard. I think what this one presents -- especially at a sub-$20 blaster makes it a decent low-risk rip with some up-side. You can find Superfractors in this format (long odds) as well as autos that start at one in 76 here but are assured in hobby boxes. Heck, even Superfractor autos can be found in blasters.

Box Grade: B+ (two Chets and some rarer color works for me ... but erratic card delivery nixed it being an A to me)
Fun Grade: B (tiny boxes and Chrome is extra, not every pack)
