What’s Buzz-worthy: I passed on these back at release time -- can't collect it all and draft picks basketball isn't that high on my radar -- but at a discounted price in a bargain box lot, well, here we are. The boxes have more packs this time vs. others for this brand but fewer cards. Atop that, the lineup of what was found here was, at best, average in what's found ... and I'm probably being nice there. Just base cards and parallels this time in this format ... flashy but, man, that's dull when it comes to variety -- and that's probably one reason why I hadn't opened this until now beyond the price point for basic Optichrome blasters in recent years. The mix of past and present names here is good -- more older names in college colors really helps as they're established but not as-often seen in those unis. The color and flash is fine but even that's limited in its scope here ... five of one color and just two of two others. It all just feels way too lean for my taste as a casual dabbler -- even at a bargain-bin price. Hit the bigger boxes for more guaranteed finds and variety (I hope) in those boxes. I think those will deliver better than this one but a bulk buy here probably still has some good potential.
