What's Buzz-worthy: This one is a little déjà vu in a couple ways to a Buzz Break I did here recently -- it's just a different league's soccer set getting the Japan Edition treatment. This time? Bundesliga. These cards might look pretty familiar if you have ripped into that basic soccer line in recent months, but it's the backs that make these stand out as something different and most-easily show how this is a unique release. It's made for release in Japan and the only parallel inclusions here beyond the 200 base card set are Mojo-textured Chrome parallels that include standard Refractors (one in seven packs), Pink (one in 12), Purple (one in 14), Aqua (one in 18), Green (one in 35), Blue (one in 47), Gold (one in 70), Orange (one in 139), Red (one in 689) and then 1/1 Superfractors that are one in 3,401 packs. Unlike the Champions League release, though, this one does have autographs -- they start at one in 533 packs and also include Black, Gold, Orange, Red and Superfractor versions (one in 36,654 on that one). The card fronts aren't different at all from what I saw so it's just a matter of the card backs -- makes this one a bit of a different style parallel with Chrome parallels in there, too, and those could actually end up being a little tougher and in-demand over the long run here for bigger names. (This box? It didn't seem to have that many to me other than some young BVB stars.) ... Just like the other release, he only thing I think I'd want to add to what's here is some kinds of icon on the fronts to help them stand out as a Japan version -- maybe some simple foil stamp could have been done? These boxes are on the more-affordable side of things compared to a lot of boxes, so it's not a bad one to dabble with just like the other recent release. This one has more long shot upside, too, with the ink.
Product Grade: A- (this one added autographs at long odds vs. other Japan Edition soccer releases)
Box Grade: B+ (two parallels not guaranteed in any one box but also not immensely rare)
Fun Grade: B
