What's Buzz-worthy: This one was pretty crazy to rip -- almost half of the box here was color, inserts or hits -- and that made it fun ... but the base cards inner printing layer (in this box at least ... maybe others) had a lot of issues where the cards look scuffed up and had surface issues ... on the inners between the cardboard and plastic. Stuff that doesn't buff away. (See image up top.) Setting that aside, this was a really interesting box even for a soccer newb (if that) like me. The Orange card here is one in 126 packs, while everything else is one in 32 or less ... so there will be a lot of boxes with a lot of color, though this one may be above-average on that front. (I didn't get as many inserts in last year's edition, either.) The Black auto is one in 58 and it's the first parallel ... so it's rarer but not near the rarest to find. ... The stock here is not as clean and sturdy as the "Made in Italy" soccer and Formula 1 releases last year but I think the feel here is otherwise on-par save for the rougher base cards this time. (I could have just had a box that's not the norm ... I haven't looked to see if others found the same results.) If you're a fan of the pitch or busting boxes for the possible big flip, this one is to be considered. If you're merely a collector (or a newb at best like me) it's a solid colorful break with some potential and safety with ink in every mini box. The surface issues on the base cards doesn't really worry me as much as it should as I think the oomph here is in everything else and those all looked fine to me.
Product Grade: B+ (base cards had a lot of silver issues ... not sure if just my box but not good)
Box Grade: A- (great range of color ... but surface issues not fun)
Fun Grade: B+ (good volume of color and a hit per mini ... just not sure on the base surface quality here)
