What's Buzz-worthy: These cards might look pretty familiar if you have ripped into basic soccer boxes in recent months, but it's the backs that make these stand out as something different and most-easily show how this is a unique release. It's made for release in Japan and the only inclusions here beyond the 200 base card set are Mojo-textured Chrome parallels that include standard Refractors (one in seven packs), Yellow (one in 12), Fuchsia (one in 14), Green (one in 18), Blue (one in 23), Gold (one in 35), Orange (one in 69), Red (one in 340) and then 1/1 Superfractors that are one in 1,678 packs (240 boxes). That means there could be roughly 47,943 (or so) boxes for this release for those who like the numbers crunched. There are no other things on the odds here, meaning this is a simple release and really the fronts aren't different at all from what I saw so it's just a matter of the card backs -- makes this one a bit of a different style parallel with Chrome parallels in there, too, and those could actually end up being tough and in-demand over the long run here for bigger names. Slabbed sales now are pretty strong for the Chromes but they're softer than I expected given the popularity of Chrome soccer for European action -- this seems like interesting ground for some dabbling, though more of a longer shot as there aren't a ton of Chromes in a box. (Statistically, could be as low as one per box but I doubt that given how they flowed here.) The only thing I think I'd want to add to what's here is some kinds of icon on the fronts to help them stand out as a Japan version -- maybe some simple foil stamp could have been done? These boxes are on the more-affordable side of things compared to a lot of boxes, so it's not a bad one to dabble with -- returns could be pretty good if you land a good name in a key spot.
