What's Buzz-worthy: Well, it's not quite the big show that my hobby box was, but this feels like a decent box thanks to the Chrome Martin card -- that or my limit-two retail realities are making boxes impress me more when I actually find them. These boxes seem smaller than in the past but the volume is the same as last year -- it's just light on the non-prospect/propect Chrome insert front if you ask me. These are the home to retail-only Green parallels (none in this box) and there are a few autograph formats to find here -- see the odds in the gallery -- but ultimately these are a pretty dry break with long odds. That, to a degree, is a good thing except when you consider that Bowman print runs on the basic stuff (base and Chrome) figure to be among the meatier sets out there ... so if you don't land a top name these will be riskier in the long run ... unless you're grading. Then it's fertile ground both in the short-term and longer. (I'd still rip hobby for that strategy as it will include a lot more than here ... hit that link to see my insane box.) As I said last time, the design this year is strong if you ask me. It's a little rigid but there are a lot of touches that help one's eye bounce around the design well and not make it overbearing. All in all, I don't prospect all that hard but this was a brand that I think feels pretty good design-wise and has huge potential.
