What's Buzz-worthy: No, Buzz isn't suddenly dabbling in the premium-chase stuff in full -- this is a pack from my Blowout MegaMix box this year and it wasn't bad considering the low card volume and size of set. Jobe was the No. 3 pick in last year's draft, while Morales has respectable stats this year in A-ball with 91 strikeouts in 87 innings. But ... that's not why people rip into these, though the Jobe card is one that's closer and has potential if he makes moves -- and he was already ranking in the Top 50 or 100 prospects lists people obsess about, too. Jobe has a 2-3 record with a 4.96 ERA and 56 Ks in 49 innings this season. Key names and the parallel chase are keys here with color starting at one in nine packs and ranging up to only 908 for the rarest 1/1 Padparadscha cards. With only four cards per pack and 200 cards in the set, landing any one particular name isn't easy (one in 50 packs) -- and that's without parallels, so the number is actually even higher. These are all about potential and the Sapphire stuff has been hot over the last several years so the volatility on big names is going to swing heavily here. If you dig prospecting and want basic cards with a little more rarity to them but still plenty of flash and appeal, this is one to consider.
