What's Buzz-worthy: Buzz isn't much of a prospector -- I'll wait for guys to arrive at this point in my collecting years -- but this one is a colorful prospects-only edition that includes ink every time and some good potential. This box? A good example of that with four prospects (one making his debut on a Bowman Initiation card), one parallel of a big name and then a basic auto and a rarer insert parallel auto. The Fuchsia parallel was one in five and the Gold auto is one in 21 -- not bad odds for cards with lower volumes. Did I land big names? Maybe -- but the Gold auto is a tough enough pull this one gets an A. One thing to watch here if you're buying singles is the edges -- they can have lifts due to either the cutting or the glossing but didn't have color damage except maybe the Puason -- and the spot gloss/matte approach can lead to scratches being easily seen, too. (Puason had a minor one.) I like the feel of these quite a bit but I know others may not so I think it ultimately comes down if you're prospecting or not. I think two autos here makes these a little safer rip and a dark horse for the price -- other boxes can cost more and have less -- and the list of players isn't bad with some safety on the checklist considering it will take you like 25 boxes to build a base set. Over the long term, this one feels like a better one to stash for key names on base cards as the volume there has to be lower than more basic Bowman stuff. It might not be as popular but over time these will dry up first.
