What's Buzz-worthy: This annual staple returns with all of its foilboarded rookie and prospect power in both blasters and the familiar mega box formats after a limited release last year. This one follows the formula of the past and feels the same way, too, with a lot of foilboard flash but ultimately some basics of who you get here more than what ... at least in this box type. Beyond the small volume of inserts, the only other chase one can expect in a typical box is the Ice parallel. There are hits in this format but they start at around one in 53 packs if I read the odds correctly but with inked versions in play of other stuff, too. I got some good names more than once here to get it to barely an A grade for the box so on that front it was a decent box at suggested retail price. There's potential here but for Bowman brands there are others that command a lot more attention on the secondary market. Long-term this brand may be one with some legs as its print run can't be anywhere like main Bowman releases but I've not been a big fan of this one among all of the options. (Keep in mind, I'm not a heavy prospector type, either.) It has, however, delivered some better ink than others in my experience.
