What’s Buzz-worthy: My final pack of these from my first find was basically on-par with the others but perhaps without as much high side in this particular unit -- no variation among my Blues this time, for example -- but a couple of rookies that might have some above-average potential here. (Not enough to elevate the pack to an A, though.) My biggest highlights are perhaps three of the no-helmet variation cards but with them being so easy to pull they may not add a lot of dollar-value here -- that's fine, I'm ripping as a collector. ... As I noted previously, these pack a decent amount of variety for a single unit -- some obvious Blue Press Proof cards and then a stack of flipped-over cards where your helmet-less photo variations are found (but not all cards flipped are SPs). The design this year is simpler and cleaner based on what I have seen and I think it works -- it will look even better on Optic stock -- and about the only tough part here is how hobby boxes are scorchers leaving one to dabble elsewhere with other formats ... at least until the next NFL releases arrive packed with rookies in their pro uniforms. The Rookie Cards here are the highlight and this one is loaded with standard RCs -- everybody seems to be a Rated Rookie this year -- as there are 100 of them atop the 250 cards in the basic set. For a few more thoughts and images, see my other breaks. Ideally, I'll do more but I don't think I'll dabble with the biggest formats as a more-casual NFL collector. I'll dabble with singles and the smaller stuff.
