What's Buzz-worthy: This long-running brand is always good for some first-time cards and first-time autographs but in retail it's more about the basics -- look for more guarantees in hobby. The color and look/feel of the design is perhaps better than past years and the variety on the checklist is right up there with others but I found the cutting and basics in this box rather odd and pretty painful to be honest. The base cards have rounded corners and feel like they were punched out of their sheet -- not a big deal but I do wonder how that stuff grades (which is a big thing for me if I like a card) -- and then in the parallel pack it seems they were also punched out of the sheet ... but from the back ... meaning the fronts are where the paper gives/tears from the force of the cut. You can see how that looked on my Jordan and LeBron cards in my bonus pack at right along with a closer look where the color helps you see the rounded corners well. The fibers gave out on the front side (what you see on the backs of the base) with some chipping or even tearing. Big bummers. The star power here was pretty good -- without all that damage it would be a borderline A box to me with the names but those corners (especially on the parallels where I got two legends) are a bummer. And I bet this box is not alone. The inserts included one chrome-stock card, one oddball playing card (a lion king), a couple of hockey broadcasters and a Ben Simmons card that feels a couple years late. I'll pick off singles of stuff I like or perhaps entertain a hobby box if prices really drop (unless I see the same condition issues there) as this one is home to some fun stuff and unique things.
