What's Buzz-worthy: This second wave of promotion-made trading cards dropped just days ago and once again sold out within hours of its release -- and a third has already been teased. It's the second batch of cards in a series that is the first officially licensed Impact! wrestling card set since 2013. These packs ($29.99) appear to be the same each time based on the lineup on the back of the pack save for an autographed card limited to 100 copies just like last time. There are also once again three autos to find here -- The Big LG (Doc Gallows), Jordynne Grace and Ace Austin. I landed the auto I probably would have wanted most here -- the legit powerlifting champ and record-holder who also has been a champ for Impact and is a regular player. Just like the first series, this one is skip-numbered with Mike Tenay at No. 1 and No. 14 being The Big LG to fill in one gap from last time. There's no No. 21 in this one but the rest are Nos. 22-29 (see checklist as it stands now at link above). Just like I noted last time, The cards have a dark color and are not glossed but are pretty clean -- the autos can shows a little more handling wear on edges since it's an on-card sig. These could be tougher cards to grade like their AEW counterparts and probably should be sleeved immediately after opening to prevent chipping or ink loss since there is no gloss here. All in all, it's a fun and decent return to cardboard and the approach makes sure people get everything in a pack except a pair of autos. It looks like only 300 packs were made once again for this series and if you sprung for three packs ordering from Impact they guaranteed all three signers. It should be interesting to see how the rest of them look and how the demand is for the ink in this one. The singles sales from Series 1 over on eBay are pretty surprising -- but also perhaps not that surprising as many here don't have any other trading card appearances.
