What's Buzz-worthy: I landed this one in a small lot of cheap blasters and this one was a remind of two things -- how much fun the variety is here and how poorly football card releases can age as players come and go with short careers ... or at least cardboard-relevant careers. ... For me, this one will always have a spot with Alabama's title-winning franchise under Nick Saban having a number of players here in a few sets. They're nothing pricey but there's a lot to find here. ... As I said before, if I were forced to name my top few brands of the last few years for football as a collector this one would be a contender for a top spot. Why? The variety, the star power and the runs that can happen even in a tiny box like this one. The brand's all-in-one approach that gives you a small volume of players presented in several different brands all in one spot -- a formula that's fun and can deliver big if you land the right names over and over ... in any sport. Numbering-wise, it's all one set but to me it feels like a Chronicles base set and then the rest feel like inserts because of the variety of the stock and looks. Pink parallels and Prizm parallels are the inserts here and you get a few in these boxes -- but other colors and a ton more in other formats so you should consider them (hit that link up top). Over time the easier pulls found here will get cheaper -- no doubt -- but the quality of stuff here simply from a collector standpoint is simple but unmatched, especially if you're a college football fan. If you're collecting or not all that worried about cash returns, rip these all day long ... they are a lot of fun.
