What's Buzz-worthy: This brand has always been about huge variety and the first UFC edition is just that with a number of names found on a number of brands here with Pink parallels the norm here but plenty more in hobby boxes -- including the exclusive National Treasures cards that are often selling for more than a box. The name volume here was pretty solid helping out the fact that there aren't a ton of deluxe-style cards in this one beyond a couple Optichrome and a couple of die-cut cards. I actually had hoped or expected more. But the run of names once I sorted things out this one felt pretty comfortable -- though it was a $27.50 box at Walmart ... not a big fan of their higher SRP plus some approach lately. That's actually tampered my buying with some brands not moving as well of late. This one seems lower-volume compared to other releases lately so that might help this one out. I do think the hobby boxes are a good deal considering all the possibilities but I'm not a big enough of a UFC fan to dabble with the higher-priced stuff. For UFC fans, this is an easy grab as it's not as pricey as Prizm and it still packs some Prizm and Optichrome stock stuff with plenty of big potential -- just not every card. I'll probably rip more of this one if I find it among other options out in the retail wild.
