What's Buzz-worthy: My first look at this long-delayed but heavily anticipated release paid off with a rookie parallel that pays for the pack and made up for the issues on a few of the other better cards here (see the massive horizontal surface lines on the Green and then smaller ones like them on some others ). Unlike the WWE release, the centering for the most part here was under control -- except on the Fields card, which is worse on its back than front (and it's off). The set's big size -- 330 cards and then the rookies atop that -- makes for the dry base card presence here that feels under-average for sure but should be expected. Really, this break is all about the Fields card. Like other formats, these packs are a little pricier than just a few years ago but they are simpler in that it's just one big pack and then the bonus. If you get a run of base stars these are a bargain but if you miss then it can sting. This one would be a C to me without that Fields card as I just don't need defensive guys' cards -- and I bet a lot of others don't, either. (That's mostly as I'm a casual football ripper -- I pick off school guys as singles and that's about it.) I have one other pack of these to bust here soon ... but this was the better of the two. Will I do more? I will not clear shelves like some of you out there, but if I spot some in the wild I'll dabble ... the big potential is there -- but rip hobby boxes if you can swing it for more stuff and guarantees.

Product Grade: A- (could easily pull this down to a B+ if the condition issues persist ... small sample size for me)
Pack Grade: A- (Fields, while off-center and with a rough top edge, is a good find here making up for the rest)
Fun Grade: B+
