What's Buzz-worthy: I'll readily admit I grabbed this one as some affordable Buzz Break material -- had to pass on Prizm below $20 when you can find it -- and was initially wowed by the flow of the variations here that were beyond what I think I had found previously with both standard and parallels popping. But then at the end of the box this 1/1 popped from a pack, giving this box elite status. Sure, this is not a bank-breaking card to find but there certainly can't be that many Gold Vinyls popping from blasters ... so it's a win whether it's a $100 card or an $800 card. (Prices on Gold Vinyl are all over the place but since he was the Cup champ in the year this one arrived, well, it's not bad.) Beyond that, based on some quick searches the rest of the box is an easy win at the price, though even my parallels of variations aren't as strong when it comes to actual sales vs. asking prices ... but that happens. There are names here with potential, though, and the inserts had some good veteran names in there. ... As I noted in a past break, the subsets make these feel like there is more going on and it's a way to get some past names into the mix to help with the NASCAR ranks getting younger and younger it seems all the time -- at least that's my gut feeling based on what I see here. Variants here can be all about the trophies -- but not always -- and they're easy to spot if you check the card backs for checkers. This one took the checkered flag for a bargain box for sure.
