What's Buzz-worthy: On a whim I grabbed a straggler of these and once again landed a one-in-three Gold set ... but it was the bonus parallel pack that got it to be a second Buzz Break. On the top of the pack when I popped the lid? Ohtani. I probably shouldn't have even opened that pack (it was pretty much him and not much else) but I did so you could see them here. That card alone pays for a chunk of the set here based on eBay sales and the Gold presence here is a solid find for the overall price. Had I landed a regular set, I would have been bummed ... yet I still did it. That's the power of the chase. ... As I said last time, this is the second year in a row where the Topps MLB flagship has a chase element in its factory sets sold at Walmart and this version is the easiest and is un-numbered. Other versions are serial-numbered at /299 (Blue Star), /99 (Orange Star) and even a 1/1 Foilfractor set. These also have an extra chase with a five-card Foilboard parallel pack with dramatically higher numbering this year (/264 last year but that was a larger 700-card set) and then the rookie variations. If you don't normally grab a factory set every year (and that's less likely in recent years given all the bonus inclusions for rookies) this adds a little more to the possibilities.
