What's Buzz-worthy: I busted a blaster of this one yesterday and figured I'd follow it up immediately with this larger box that offers up more overall volume (only eight more packs) but less variety without a retail blue and a card on the actual packaging. The odds here are comparable if not the same as the other format -- makes this one a lot like Opening Day and some other releases that have long retail odds but do have stuff in there -- for the fourth release of this brand, which was dramatically delayed over the last year. ... As I noted last time, there's no gloss here. There's no foil stamping here. There's just clean and sturdy cardboard with longer shots at hits and some easier ink (start at one in 65 but with seemingly more parallel options here) and then some basic parallels. One insert, Home Team Traditions, is dramatically rarer in this format (one in 1,080) but everything else appears to be in the normal, findable ranges. The numbered card found here is one in 37 packs just like in a blaster). ... I think some past years of this one might have more highlights to make the rip more worthwhile. This brand is among the highlights for the cheaper releases, though, and the overall volume can't be massive so the hits here, generally speaking, are probably going to dry up faster than in other sets. I think that also makes this one worth the look. Overall, I'd probably just do a couple of blasters vs. these unless you think you can defy the odds on ink.
