What's Buzz-worthy: The Rookie Cards alone here make this a pretty comfortable box and you can throw on Mountcastle parallels twice (and an insert appearance also with Adell) to help make this even stronger. But the biggest stars? The ink. The Gold Wave auto? One in 670 packs (28 boxes) and the Orange is one in 556 (24 boxes) ... tough pulls found in the same box. The Crochet card seems to be one that might pay for a box based off early sales of lesser parallels while the Rodriguez cards are his only MLB autos (and just second appearances on certified auto cards). So pretty decent finds here. Could I have landed stronger names? Sure, but finding either one of these in a box would be a good pull given the odds. ... A single blaster box might offer more variety of parallels (at lesser volume overall) but this one was packed with regular Refractors that people seem to love as well as the Prism versions that are also nice. (I think colored Prism autos could be very strong.) Adding onto all this? The Blue parallels are one in 280 ... one in 12 boxes. (And that's the right color for a Dodgers star.) All in all, this one delivered pretty well -- and had it delivered a big name in any of those spots it might have paid for a case ... or more. Collectively, what I found would pay for my box -- and this is a brand that has delivered very well often in the last five years. It's worth taking the shot.
