What's Buzz-worthy: This auto may not be what you're hoping for when ripping into a slightly higher-end box like this (higher-end in the card volume vs. the price) but Benintendi is a World Series- and Gold Glove-winning reliable veteran still on the young side of things who will be a free agent next year. Could he end up on the hobby's radar once again like he was as a first-round pick of the Red Sox? Maybe. He's played well this year ... and that's why he might not be a bad auto to speculate with. Overall, though? This box is perhaps a bit of a bummer but that may happen here with such a small format. ... All in all, I do think this one is worth the look if you're chasing hits and rarities and not worried about the price tag. (I do more than you might.) Over time, the basics from hobby-only releases with guaranteed hits like this will be tougher to find as the sheer volume of cards made won't compare to the standard stuff -- the RCa here are a good example of that.If you find this one on the cheaper side of things, it's worth the look as there's solid potential with some luck. The parallel here is one in eight boxes, while the auto parallel is one in seven ... so if you can get those kinds of cards lining up in the same box with better names attached that shows how some boxes here could be grand slams.
