What's Buzz-worthy: That Red parallel may not be a name many might chase here but it's one in 1,107 packs -- one in 93 boxes (12 cases) -- and that gets this to an A grade. My ink is a little no-thrills as both are standard -- one a good veteran name who is no longer in WWE and one that, well, I'm not sure who would want ... maybe not even his mom? OK, maybe that's some kayfabe talk but ... nah, maybe it's not. Ironically, that King Corbin auto did give me a laugh when it arrived in the same pack as his crownless, poor-man persona ... that would have been an autograph to want. Maybe. (Maybe not.) Anyway, back to serious talk ... I think this one is a lot stronger visually than last year -- a lot of perfectly cropped images here for sure vs. 2020 -- but the background does feel a little heavy at times. I guess I'd rather have that, though, vs. distant photos filling a third of the card. Without the Red, I think this would have fallen to a B-level kind of box -- it just didn't wow me at its premium price -- but I think the checklist has enough oomph on the autos list to get one there with some luck. Also, be sure to check those card numbers -- basic cards No. 101 and up are the rarer SPs. I didn't land any this time but a few names there might surprise as they are tougher finds at one in 127 packs. Will I do more? Perhaps ... though with so much releases arriving at the end of the Topps run the singles prices might inevitably be a little soft right now. Over time, though, they won't be. I'll be bargain-hunting singles hard here for those that strike me as interesting but there are retail boxes to rip on the cheap.
