What's Buzz-worthy: At a glance this does feel like an average or less box but the rookie found here is one who has good potential from a crop of standard autos that includes more than 40 rookies. (There are worse newcomer names to find than a guy who had eight homers and 34 RBI in 59 games and was a top-20 MiLB talent entering this season.) The only other card here was a brightly colored and relatively rare auto for The Cobra, a fan favorite of the past who I was a but surprised to see still signing (he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2012) but the sig still looks pretty solid. That color is one in 10 boxes but probably doesn't help the value dramatically. (He does sell relatively well for a non-Hall of Fame player so a card /25 might surprise.) This one is your shot at some dramatic stuff, though -- jumbo prime pieces, laundry tags, MLB logos, multi-player autos and cut autos for MLB stars as well as notable celebs -- and that's part of your shot here. To have those big cards possible, there still need to be lesser boxes, too. Parallels can come into play here and make a box better -- it helped here vs. two standard autos -- and could make big cards really big deals if names and color align. If you want nothing but ink and big potential and aren't worried about price -- or do hit-draft breaks, I think this is a prime place for you to dig in. For me, I think singles are the route I'd take -- or maybe hit/box drafts meaning you are guaranteed something -- unless something deep on the checklist grabs me. It wasn't in this box ... but they are out there.

Product Grade: A- (long odds on some good stuff ... could deliver big)
Box Grade: B- (closer to average this time value-wise, despite parallel auto and a decent rookie)
