What's Buzz-worthy: I think the design of this one is improved this year and the use of photos within that colorful retro framework is done well, too, but with that said I still think something is missing here at least in these boxes. You do get a few more inserts this year than last year in blasters based on this box but that could be bolstered by finding what might be one of the least-impressive variation styles I have seen. The variation on that Clevenger card? The font used for the name. That card? One in 55 packs here ... not really wowing me despite that. Hobby boxes are the way to go here with guaranteed ink and more volume/variety and if this brand still had mini cards either one per pack or via a box-topper pack I'd probably be game. The stock here is still a little chippy but not as blatantly flawed like some past years that used dark colors often and showed off the flaws more than pretty much everything if you pay attention to conditions (particularly with grading). This box didn't really wow me even with the rarer pull -- it would be a C at best without that, though my RC crop has some potential here to help over time. (My base veterans were dry.) I'll offer more thoughts when I open a hobby box at some point. I think that's the way to go with this one, though high-end cards are found in this format at some long odds.

Box Grade: B+ (thanks to a rarer parallel ... not very flashy here even with that find)
