What's Buzz-worthy: This is a release that did well for me with my first blaster ... so I did several and none were basically as good as the first (at least from what I remember) and this hobby staple is one I have opened a ton of though the years. I only did one box previously but with this one dipping a lot price-wise I decided to grab one and, well, I beat the odds. The red-ink auto here? One in 599 packs, though not a player I'd want to find to be honest. The rest? Pretty much the norm other than the Red Chrome -- one in 104. ... Why open this now? The deep rookie crop is nice (some potential still but no massively big names at moment) but the basic autographs are what to watch for. They only pop up a few times per case but the checklist includes Aaron Judge, Albert Pujols, Andrew Vaughn, Bill Mazeroski, Brooks Robinson, Carlton Fisk, Jonathan India, Juan Marichal, Jim Kaat, Juan Soto (twice), Joey Votto, Miguel Cabrera, Mike Trout, Ronald Acuña Jr., Randy Arozarena, Tony Perez, Yordan Alvarez and even Shohei Ohtani. And there are other kinds of autos (dual, auto-Relics and more) that will easily pay for several boxes if you can beat the odds and find one. Not all of those names I mentioned will pay for the box but they are Hall of Famers or top stars and this is a popular brand where even lesser names could have more demand than you might think. The tough part? They won't be in every box ... so the Relic boxes out there won't be as flashy as this. The rookie crop has some highlight guys but not necessarily any A-listers right now (both Rookie of the Year winners are here ... just not pricey) so that's why it's not pricy ... but the long odds don't mean that the big stuff isn't in any one particular box -- it's just not a guarantee every time or even every case. But they might be. Had my two rarer cards been bigger names? Multiple boxes paid for. For more thoughts on this one, check out my other breaks.

Product Grade: A- (good potential here ... but not in every box)
Box Grade:
A+ (two rare cards that beat the odds ... ink and Chrome)
Fun Grade: B (good volume but not a ton of variety)
