What's Buzz-worthy: It's been almost a year since I last opened one of these and I decided to revisit it as a few players here have emerged as big-leaguers playing quite well and there's ink involved -- even a dual-auto card of Vaughn Grissom and Michael Harris is in there ... see the checklist. You get two autos every time and this time those weren't highlights -- that will happen here -- but if you land a key name in a key spot (ink or parallels) you probably pay for the box or come close. This one doesn't have easy rip-and-flip potential but it's a cheap box. One reason it might not be as popular? The corner cuts here on a lot of cards seem funky and that scares even me on the grading front ... and I'll grade a little bit of everything. I didn't land what I wanted here on the big-card front but I landed a lot to like as a collector with some good names attached. There are some longshot chases here, too, like flip-stock, color swap and image variations with longer odds and good names there along with a lot of the other things you expect from Heritage. Sometimes the names don't work in the style of 1972 but sometimes they do ... and funky works for retro with good names attached if you ask me. (Plus, if they end up being big names with lots of MLB cards then this MiLB stuff will stand out as different later on.) ... My two parallels this time are rarer at one in 40 and one in 78 packs but I don't think they are a big deal here. A solid box but not a monster one here this time. As long as these are cheap, I'll rip more ... and there's a lot less of this one made vs. standard Heritage.
