What's Buzz-worthy: This box has its moments but ultimately isn't the flashiest one out there -- and that's a thought that might apply to the product on the whole. That's not a knock -- it's just reality as this isn't meant to be a high-end chaser brand loaded with huge autos and big chases. It's one built for collectors and it's got two on-card autos per hobby box -- typically one parallel and one standard -- with many but not all boxes also including a numbered parallel card. This one? It included a Purple auto (one in 98 packs) and a Green parallel (one in 56) to be out of the norm but neither was a money name in my book. The standard auto here is a better one name-wise but Asuka does appear in many sets so she's not as valuable as she might be for a global wrestling star. (She's signed a lot even before WWE.) The Allen & Ginter set is not a big one but it's a steady presence in these boxes -- you should get the set and more -- but I think I'd rather have had a slightly larger volume of parallels such as the foils that do add something different. This one does have some quirks that show how it was likely delayed from early in the year to now -- some old photos, some cut stars and some cards without basic bio info -- but it still has a good Heritage feel ... as long as you're a fan of 1990 Topps. (It's cleanly made here, but not one of my historical favorites.) There are some names I will chase here for ink for sure but with a few releases coming with better chases I may wait on this one as I think it could/should drop. I think some out there had very high retro-auto expectations for this one that likely led it to be a pricey box at first. Overall, while it's nice, there's still stronger stuff to come on the last few weeks of the WWE card release calendar. Heritage is how it all started for this current Topps run back in 2005 and some of the company's best cardboard has come from this brand so I will definitely be grabbing key names here for ink over the coming weeks and months.
