What's Buzz-worthy: For my second pack break from my Blowout MegaMix box this year, I'm going with an affordable one that has some decent potential with parallels and then some longer-shot chances at ink -- and even Mantle cut autographs. Those didn't happen this time but I didn't hate this one with a 1952 in the mix (do wish it didn't have retro centering) and then some others I don't recall pulling in the past, though I might have back when I did a five-pack and landed a parallel when it arrived. These aren't the flashiest of packs but they were affordable from Topps and are still somewhat cheaper, too. I'll perhaps dabble if/when they show up on sale for sure. ... Now for some basic thoughts the last time I ripped. ... This online release celebrates the cardboard career of MLB icon Mickey Mantle with new reprints of his original in-career Topps cards from 1952-1969 along with cards that never were from 1951 and the missing years where Bowman had him locked into deals -- as well as more recent years after his No. 7 was "un-retired" from the Topps flagship release and he ended up with Panini America. ... It's simple but I think this one works.
