What's Buzz-worthy: The packaging here is among the best I've seen in recent years -- Baby Yoda (err, Grogu) in his pod is a tin holding a small but potentially potent stack of packs. (I have seen empty tins alone with asking prices of $19.99 on eBay, by the way, in case your box doesn't deliver big.) The format here is essentially like the Black & White sets of the past -- almost a mini hobby box -- so I'd be cautious about paying too much for one of these, but there's some potential in this one. There's only one auto per box and my box didn't even include any numbered parallels beyond an autographed parallel, which was one in 109 packs. (Will that one pay for the box? Actually, maybe based on prices for easier versions found so far.) The star power here is pretty good beyond Baby Yoda with what I think are the first in-pack Star Wars cards for Rosario Dawson, Mercedes Varnado (aka Sasha Banks), Katee Sackhoff and Timothy Olyphant though the autograph checklist doesn't include them. There is, however, ink from Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Horatio Sanz, Temuera Morrison and Giancarlo Esposito and they have credits beyond Star Wars that should add in some extra appeal beyond their spots here. Among the deluxe hits are dual- and triple-auto cards Source fabric Relics, prop Relics and sketch cards, too. I've seen some cool sketches so far and there are some autographed medallion cards also in the mix so there is a lot to chase in these little boxes. I did notice a decent/odd amount of wear on the Characters inserts here that hurt the fun factor here as I got a couple of key names but all in all these small boxes are simple breaks that have good potential. Had they landed some of the newcomers on auto cards atop those already in here this one could have been truly massive ... perhaps some were held for the upcoming bounty hunters release or for more of a higher-end product? There's enough here to collect for now, though, and I might once more volume arrives on eBay. I'll perhaps rip into these some more if the prices settle down -- the one auto I was hoping to see here didn't happen so I'll probably just mostly do singles there.
