What's Buzz-worthy: I was a little surprised to see that this one was a one-and-done for me -- one hobby box and that was it -- last year, so I revisited this one with a couple of these and, well, I was reminded why I didn't dig in. This one is loaded with rookies -- a hobby box had more than 100 of them -- and this one was more than a third RCs. I got a couple of better names here on that front along with a couple of Hall of Famers in the inserts but this was otherwise quite a dry pack. Is there potential here? Sure ... even in this format you can find autographs, Relics and more just at long odds. ... As I noted last time, this year's Update set is a little different than the norm -- it's still loaded with Rookie Cards but all of the All-Star stuff from this year isn't in there. It was a COVID back-up/deadline thing for sure yet, let's be real here ... this year's highlights should be in next year's set. New stuff should be in Topps Now. I do miss the volume of stars that would always be seen here but this is how a set should be. ... The RC crop is deep, though, so that could help it some over time. ... I'd do a jumbo box if you're sold to get more inside and a guaranteed auto to boot.

Product Grade: B+ (some slight changes vs. past years drop it here a little)
Box Grade: B- (not much going on here ... some Hall of Famer inserts and a couple of name RCs helped it avoid a lower mark)
Fun Grade: B-
