What's Buzz-worthy: I wasn't sold on this one based on the early looks -- it's a bit of a mash-up between a standard set and the past Road to Wrestlemania highlights approach -- so I only bought a single blaster to test things out ... even though hobby boxes aren't overly pricey here and include ink every time. It turns out that I like the feel of this one more than I expected -- the design is vibrant and strong for a base set -- and the range of hit possibilities in this one do include Relic autos (really, really long odds) but a Relic in every box, which is a plus. (Do hobby boxes if you dig it.) This box is larger in size vs. some others in the past -- perhaps due to it being a larger base set? -- and that helps here with a lot of names to be found from both the past and present. This one started off as a dry break but I ended up with inserts/hits in almost every pack once I was done. It also gets an A with the two parallel finds here being on the rarer side. The Aqua is one in 54 packs here and the hit parallel is one in 336 packs. Will that get me to bust more? Probably not ... there's a lot of WWE stuff new and out right now and this is the least-favorite of them for me. There are some good things to find -- and hobby cases seem mispacked a bit with some good auto runs (on-card ink, by the way) and some standard ones to add to the potential there -- but I think I'll wait this one out and rip some later if it dips or if other brands dry up or get pricey. This is a meaty flagship-style set -- had it arrived at the beginning of the year I think it could have been a huge start. Now, with all the releases at once at the end of the year (and Topps' licensing run with WWE) this one is a little lost in the shuffle. Price-wise, it's among the cheapest and that gives it good potential value-wise if you land something of a big name or something rarer. That also makes this one a safe rip.
