What's Buzz-worthy: My first box was closer to "the thrill of victory" while this one, while not totally bad, is closer to "the agony of defeat." That's not really anything to do with the star on the card he's a relatively established but young performer (debuted in wrestling in 2011) who is new to NXT -- it's just how these boxes work. You want to find The Big One when you flip open the box but sometimes you find a younger name still climbing the ranks. The good news here is it's a parallel with a little less volume. My third box -- the rubber match of this series for me -- will probably decide this brand for me with future breaks on the wax front. I think this is a safe one to dabble with for singles but that means you'll pay more for the bigger cards when you want them. ... As I noted last time, when this autograph-per-box line made its debut in 2020 I immediately pre-ordered a case. This time around, I played the wait-and-see game for the checklist and I think it's on par and in some ways better than the first. However, we don't get a third release as Topps' time in the ring is, for now, over. This one includes a run of young stars and first-time autos -- but not auto-Relics -- as well as some legendary names on ink, too, but I think you can expect some of those to flow on the rarer side of things (see odds in gallery). ... This one's odds are one in 24 boxes, though that didn't really help the value here -- at least so far -- as this parallel has sold for less than $10 once and then a sale high of $25. However, the lone asking high is $69.99 out there on eBay. Good news? This is his first WWE auto and it's one of only a couple releases he has cards in this year -- so his only rookie auto unless he sneaks into Finest (if it's still coming). This one is a good example of the safety of buying more than one box but also the waiting game on those in the lower ranks of WWE. You never know what might (maybe) happen. ... Other finds in this one include printing plate autos, Relics for gear, tables, ladders, chairs, turnbuckle pads and garbage cans, too, so that adds to the chase with autographs guaranteed every time. A number of WWE releases dropped all in a short amount of time so that also may be hurting prices on some stuff right now.
