What's Buzz-worthy:  Other than a single jumbo pack of this one, I skipped this release entirely when it arrived but that's not because I don't think Donruss is a key release and a staple for NBA collecting. Some might call Hoops the flagship brand -- it might be -- and then Prizm the plastic mainstream one to rip ... but I actually have ripped a lot of Donruss and Donruss Optic over the years ... in all brands. Donruss can deliver well for both flippers with some rare finds and offer up enough for collectors, too. This particular year? Well, it didn't include any guaranteed hits this time -- that's why I skipped this along with my having scaled back on NBA. The rookie on the box, though, is the key guy and there are a lot of possible finds here, too, with some luck -- and your shot is likely better in the bigger boxes at the link up top. This format was heavy on the base but did include a good chunk of RCs so that helps. There are numbered parallels possible in this format along with autos -- just not every time.

Box Grade: B (some highlights and good names ... but nothing that truly felt bigger to get to an A)
Fun Grade: B- (perhaps too heavy on base)
