What's Buzz-worthy: The fact that I landed duplicates in such a small box from a small set makes me think I received a mis-packed box -- at least to some slight degree -- but I'll readily admit after opening this I didn't want to go watch videos to see if the results were the same for others ... but I begrudgingly did some rather quick searches  and they didn't seem to be the same here. The lineup is simple -- 90 cards with a boatload of parallels for each, 10 Prizm All-Stars and 25 (I'll assume rarer) Color Blast cards. That's it. The odds read "non-base cards are included approximately 1:3 in every pack" and if that's meant to mean the blaster is the pack then there would be one more insert here than the parallel I landed, a relatively underwhelming Silver of Anthony Davis. If that's to mean in every pack as it says, well, I'll let you chew on that and try the math with four cards per pack. Either way, this box didn't seem correct. This one included nothing but base save for the one Silver and nothing from the All-Stars at all and I saw some blasters include one or two of those (maybe more) and then color, too. This was quite underwhelming for the cost ($30 at retail) but the shelf-clearers are in full force here and flippermania is running wild since it's Prizm applied to something different and a fun twist and meshing of board games and cards -- the board game includes some basic cards and then a Prizm pack, while blasters can be part of the gameplay. The chase of rares in the rainbow is clearly the draw here -- hit eBay to see some impressive prices -- and they're probably right as there are some nice looks here with Monopoly themes and visuals applied ... but I saw none of that. This whiff probably leaves me one and done and banking elsewhere in today's super-busy collecting landscape. But, thinking optimistically, if there are lean boxes like this out there then there should also be overloaded boxes out there, too. Keep in mind, though, that this one was billed as a Target-exclusive until Aug. 1 and then more will likely end up elsewhere.
