What's Buzz-worthy: This one was a bummer and a rarity in my experience but one that does happen out there in the world ... it's the dreaded Dropped-box Special. More than half of the cards in this one (see at right) had a substantially damaged top-left corner from the packs or box being dropped and landing hard on the corner ... even two die-cut cards without traditional corners here got the bump ... and yet, for whatever reason, I still sleeved these anyway since I like this release and it might be the one I have now opened more than any other AEW blaster. (If not, it's close.) Without the damage, this box was probably a B on both grading fronts below -- it's got a good run of names among the SPs and some others in the inserts but nothing as strong as some of my previous blasters. ... All in all, I like this one as it is a chromed-out tiered release with plenty of star power, a good volume of Rookie Cards (first times in packs) and a lot of colorful potential and parallels but the possibility of potential hits (autographs and memorabilia) isn't regular even in hobby boxes. ... The chrome factor here is a key for many -- and for chasers/flippers -- but I think hobby boxes (hit that link up top) are the way to go as ink will be found in every few boxes. In blasters? A quick scan looked like a few options at one in 240 packs or more. This one is more about colorful basics ... just hopefully yours come without the extra bumps that mine took..
