What's Buzz-worthy: Second verse, same as the first ... this blaster also was riddled with production issues from badly cut edges to warped cards (not normally an issue) that apparently had some heat added to them at some point as the surfaces have dents/ripples that won't be coming out even if they ever lay down flat. Atop that, the spotty printing on the inside layer of plastic on the cards continued with mild "snow" apparently a bit of a thing in 2023 Chrome ... something I didn't really have on my bingo card despite all the weather changes out there. My Pink parallels didn't have big dents across the backs like last time so that's good. ... As I said last time, I wanted to like this one as it's loaded with players I'd want to find -- even the guy on the box -- with full college names and logos in play here atop a strong crop of players. (I bought plenty of this one's pre-licensing counterpart and this could have been a go-to for me ... but damaged cards don't do me any good.) With all the damage in two blasters I'll probably just grab singles unless these boxes linger in the retail/hobby wild. ... Setting all the issues aside, which maybe it's not as bad elsewhere or in hobby boxes, the set is key with current college stars in there -- on cards and ink -- with guys who will be drafted this year and plenty of color and Superfractors. This one included all the typical stuff it should with the Aqua Refractor clean and found one 131 packs -- that's the box-saver here. The 1952 card -- and these 1952s in general are a win -- was nice except for it being crimped/creased just like my first one. Maybe I just got a couple of bad blasters here ... we'll see.

Product Grade: A- (landmark kind of release as it's Chrome for active NCAA players on NIL deals ... plus includes potential new draft picks ... this grade assumes damage is not widespread issue)
Box Grade: C (damaged cards all over the place here ... but a numbered card helped)
Fun Grade: D (damaged cards all over the place here ... just not fun)
