What's Buzz-worthy: Much like its 2023 sibling, I picked up one of these on the cheap -- partly about curiosity -- but well after the fact. Why? While I generally like the Donruss brand, I don't really do a lot of UFC. This one also was heavy on base -- too heavy -- with a few inserts per pack and a smaller array of potential finds than hobby (of course) with this format really seeming a bit flat like 2023 did. Had these included some kind of even lesser hit, I think these boxes would be a little more popular and probably not as affordable -- but a slightly bigger and wider more-Donrussy array of inserts and parallels may have helped, too, though this one isn't that lean. There are past names mixed into the base set with men's and women's stars and it's simple -- and that mix of past and present here really helps the mix if you ask me. I don't mind Donruss and had these had some guaranteed hit instead of perhaps a numbered parallel per box (at least I think it's per box), I probably would have explored more here. This one is stronger than 2023 if you ask me, though ripping box in bulk at a lower price now might be the start of a nice little master set project for a collector.
