What's Buzz-worthy: A new year of Impact! cardboard is here with the familiar format and look for the most part with last year's multi-series release. The design is slightly tweaked but the thin, gloss-less stock is back so you'll have to be careful handling these if you're grading-inclined at all. Why do these? Well, if you order three direct from them you get all three autos and I opted to do so this time. Frost's cards here are among her first cards (I only know of one other) and her first ink, while James has a lot of stuff from her WWE and previous Impact! days ... but she's easily among the all-time greats for women's competitors, too. Last's year's waves were skip-numbered with all series filling in the gaps while this one was all consecutive. This one has some other surprises with the retro card for Galloway (presently in WWE as Drew McIntyre) and then a good mix of names without a lot of cardboard and then some who are appearing here with new names as they are newer additions. With only 300 sets made (100 per auto creating that situation) and the ability to order three to get all of the autos this one is easy to collect if you get in on it straight from the company. Secondary market prices here have been relatively strong on sets and singles though the more-recent waves have taken longer to sell out from the company. There are still a number of notables and new stars there who haven't had cards or ink so I'm keeping an eye out on these. At $29.99 a set (with ink) the per-card value and re-sale potential isn't bad. It's not going to 10x breaking it down but you can likely do fine here over time given the scarcity.
