What's Buzz-worthy: I came thisclose to skipping this series until I saw the fine print and noticed that one of the card mocks teased by the company didn't match the faces shown on the box this time like usual. Then I noticed that the listing said 21 cards instead of 11 ... so ... I couldn't risk not landing a Sü Yüng card as she's among the most-unique characters for the promotion and hadn't had anything in any of the several series of cards made over the last two years. So ... I did two (shipping my sure shot at landing all three autos as noted above) and ... now I want more. There are a few first-time cards here and others who have very little ... and that's the charm of these promotion-made sets. This lineup includes some historical highlights and nods to past notables instead of being just purely 20 wrestler cards this time, so some won't be as popular as others (logo cards for example ... not gonna be much demand) but these are foil-stamped on both sides -- something new -- and some cards can be hit and miss condition-wise right out of the packs. The one I wanted most? Very close to perfect. Also, that Rosemary auto is an epic card and I'll slab it along with my Sü Yüng cards -- and I might chase more for both of them as singles if they pop up. Meanwhile, others in this one have strong photos that are a little different than standard studio stuff. With only 300 sets made (100 per auto creating that situation) and the ability to order three sets direct to get all of the autos this one is easy to collect if you get in on it straight from the company. (They are still available.) Secondary market prices here have been relatively strong on sets and singles at times though the more-recent waves have taken longer to sell out from the company (including this one). These did cost $5 more than the predecessors ($35) but I think they still have decent smaller break potential with ink resale value each time making the per-card cost lower if you sell the rest. As a collector, though, I dig it a ton thanks to just two cards in the mix.
