What's Buzz-worthy: I waited to rip into this one, letting the flippers and others to do their things and that's fine by me as, well, this brand's like pizza -- even when it's bad it's good ... and this one was pretty good. This one would have even been an A+ box if opened on "Opening Day" for the brand but since some guys here aren't quite as red-hot as they were back then (looking at you Pickett and Zappe) it gets a mere A in my book ... and across the board which doesn't happen. Why? This all-in-one brand focuses on rookies and top stars and with more shots at fewer names you can have key ones line up a few times in the same box. This is a box that can be topped but I landed a few solid names from the rookies in nice spots and then some key cards like the Lawrence hair card as a Pink parallel. Pinks are only found here and this is my first and that is perhaps one card I'd have wanted (base or parallel) after having seen the mocks for that one since its debut. Sure, it's not a Rookie Card -- this one is the home of more than just RCs and it's one for collectors -- arguably the top brand of the Panini years if you ask me across the board -- without breaking the bank. A lot of stuff is easily found in this release -- it's just spread out -- and it's been ripped so it's mostly easily found. I'm fine with that ... you don't have to break the bank to chase some rookies. ... I dig the typical variety here a lot -- the acetate cards and Optic/Prizm cards here make it a solid mix, too. This is one with the rookie crop that I'll definitely do more of as long as I can keep finding them in a reasonable price range -- I said that same thing with the release last year and it rings true here as well.
