What's Buzz-worthy: Prestige is a brand that I generally like the design of -- not necessarily the last couple of years, though -- but I still check in on it as it's been the home of the first NFL-logo cards for new rookies but in their college colors. That's a combo I don't hate as somebody who's more of a college fan (of a good team) than any NFL stuff right now. The photo framing on the card backs -- and the backs in general here -- might be the ideal in my collecting mined save for a couple of basics here and there while the fronts do a good job of showcasing photos. The stock here has been a chippy, soft frustration but this year's feels a little different and cleaner, which means there will be more grading-worthy finds here than perhaps recent years. It's not perfect or super-glossy but it's definitely better and has modest use of foil-stamping. So, all in all, I like it. The irony here? I accidentally ordered two of these instead of two 2021 Chronicles boxes ... but if I had done that I probably wouldn't have landed the 1/1 card. This one was quite clean and also included a second serial-numbered card and but neither box included any kind of hit. They don't look to be guaranteed so no worries there but there is exclusive ink here along with the Diamond parallels. This box included the No. 1 pick as well as a notable QB and a small litter of Georgia Bulldogs RCs, too. All in all, I liked this one but I think right now -- at least until some rookies emerge as "name" guys on cards -- the late-arriving 2021 boxes are probably better buys. These could do well over time if some good names pop out ... and you never know when you might land a 1/1 here, either. If I can do that, anybody can ... it's just a matter of luck.
