What's Buzz-worthy: My newest pack of this one included some top names among the base, a strong rookie in terms of on-field performance this season but some corner/edge issues dampened the better finds here in my book, keeping this one from higher marks. It happens ... especially with just one pack. (Why rip? I'm revisiting this one once again as I'm intending to do more smaller Buzz Breaks this year and this was all I had on hand for newer NFL heading into the big weekend.) ... As I said last time, I like the design this year and the photo framing on the card backs -- and the backs in general here -- might be the ideal in my collecting mind save for a couple of basics. Meanwhile, the fronts do a good job of showcasing photos. The stock here has been a chippy, soft frustration in past years but this year's feels a little different and cleaner, which means there should be more grading-worthy finds here than perhaps recent years. This is the kind of set that I like when it's affordable so I wouldn't really rip in larger, pricier formats ... but in smaller bites I don't mind it -- but there will be misses like this more times then there are packs that are big hits. I should have probably done a blaster instead of my handful of these packs here for perhaps a better chance at some kind of hits but the end result here was ultimately about the same. This one isn't for a massive monster chase ... it feels more like a brand for collectors and its fundamentals like photos and design are pretty tight.
